new floral painting

This new painting is sumi ink and varnish on gessoed wood panel.

It is small, 8 inches square.

I normally paint with sumi ink on paper but I decided to try the wood panel.

The ink absorbs differently, but I enjoy the process and the results.

The title is "Sun-up".
