Google Art Project has teamed with some of the most acclaimed art museums to create an online data base that allows you to get closer to the artwork than you would ever be able to in real life. Pretty amazing that you can zoom in far enough to see cracks, hair, and canvas under the paint. There are some screen shots above from Rembrandt's The Night Watch, which is featured in the Rijksmuseum's collection. Checkout the website here.
